Chapter 17

Khushi was amused at his observance and said “arnavji I never realised it. You noticed all this and you always believed it and true our marriage was destined to happen, we were fools to not identify and understand these warning of devi maiya. You are so bad, you try pretend what you are not and I will punish you for keeping me so far from you.By the way (shying away) its Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada now. I am a married women now, so you better correct yourself and by the way now you better stay away from those skinny and malnourished models who all the time try to touch you and come near you because now you belong to me and I will not tolerate anyone getting creepy around my husband. I hate it when somebody touches you the way only I am supposed to touch you.” She warned Arnav. Arnav voiced out “yes Mrs.Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada. I actually love my name now. And on a better note why don’t you come and lay your claim on me in front of those models and mark your territory. I will be pleased. You are such a jealous, feisty and possessive women and you call me so. I will love to see the faces of few models who always wanted to trap me to marry me when I introduce you as my wife to them. On second thoughts after you get well, I will organise my coming autumn fashion week in London itself. There to all the world I shall show the entire world that I have a beautiful wife, you along with me. You need to be introduced, the world needs to know the women who could claim the heart of ASR and keep him wrapped in her love. You know we shall need a few doctors too, some girls will faint of jealousy and disappointment. “Arnav chuckled and khushi hit him and said “you shall always remain the Arnav Singh Raizada, rude and arrogant, laad governer.“ Arnav completed it and said “only for the world because they love me for money and power and those girls wanted to trap me for richness, they should know that I can get more than money and power in my life i.e love and care and you love me for being Arnav and I shall be Arnav for you always. So its final and the program is fixed. But don’t tell anyone now. Lets go downstairs and tell them about you and also tell di about leaving with us to London.”

Khushi stopped him and asked “di will break, also is it safe for her to travel in 7^th month of her pregnancy, your business will suffer…… I don’t know.”

Arnav held her close and looked into her eyes and said “you know di is not weak, she is stronger than me. She was the one who told me that she wanted you back as soon as possible. And you know last night even her little one also told us that it needed you, it missed your constant chatter, so it will be more than willing to travel with its chatterbox mami. You know just as were talking about bringing you back it kicked, each time we said your name the little one kicked as if agreeing with us. And in the morning when you were bathing I had talked to di’s  doctor, she assured me that di can travel, its only in first trimester that travelling should be avoided. And it will be a good change for di also. And a doctor will accompany us in the flight so there is nothing to worry. And about my business you should know I have a head quarter in London as well, so I will operate from there. And Akash can easily handle here, he always does that when I am London or Geneva. You should know that I have 10 offices worldwide and all are interconnected. So I can easily operate from anywhere. Also khushi nothing is important than you. So as I have told you that you have absolutely no say in this matter. You just have to listen to me. Another thing khushi, I have called buajii this morning and asked her to come here and told her I brought you here last night. I think we should tell only buajii about your treatment and ask her not to tell it to babujee and amma, babujee may get shocked and his improvement may stop. Surely we can tell them after you get well. What do you say?”

Khushi was in tears and said “I think you are right and you have thought about everything and everyone far more than I could. (now she wiped her tears and mischievously  continued) By the way why did not you tell me last night that little one had kicked, I too wanted to feel it kick. It would have been fun. I cannot wait to see di and the little one. And don’t you say I speak so much, from last night you have not stopped speaking. I have never seen you talk so much. But I loved it.”

Now you stop chattering khushi and lets go, buajii must have come.

Chapter 16

After sometime both had got ready. Arnav had teased khushi about the love byte on his neck when khushi freeked about the several love bytes he had  given her. She had then skilfully hidden his marks of passion with concealer and her duppatta, thankfully to her style of taking duppatta. Arnav kissed all the love bytes before that and even laved them. Today arnav had even applied sindoor and then traced her mangalsutra with his kisses and said “mine”, then arnav kissed her and he could not get enough of her and said “ what have you done to me, I could not control my desires just seeing you, but after last night its impossible for me to breathe without touching you. I cannot keep my hands of you.” Then he held her from behind her waist, his arms wrapped around her stomach and his chin on her shoulders and they both looked in the mirror. It was a beautiful site and khushi blushed when arnav said “thank god, you are not wearing saree, I feel like ravishing you the moment I see you in a saree. Saree does justice to your beautiful curves and more if its red.” Khushi blushed and arnav continued “you know last night………………………………(he paused)we completed all the rasms of our marriage.”

 Khushi was confused and voiced out “we never did any rasms except the marriage in the mandir. Then how can you……………………………”

 Before she could complete arnav said “my IIM brain , your intelligent brain was unable to realise that we actually did each and every rasm. Starting from ………………………….the shagun……………..remember when I threw that duppatta and it landed on you………………… remember long back….. (khushi remembered that red duppatta which had landed on her) I had marked you, I had laid my claim on you then only…………………………….….you were destined to be mine since then………………………………………and the color of the duppatta was also the color of my passion on you………………red………………………………………………………. Then on the day of your engagement , I bandaged you on the ring finger ………………….in front of your devi maiya at the…………….. correct mahurat of the engagement. So technically you were engaged to me. You were mine even before that swine could even lay a finger on you. So your engagement with anyone else after that was null and void because I had made you, marked you mine. ……………………………………………………..Then you remember the haldi day you came here and…………………………………..(pause) di had put haldi on me and I wiped that same haldi on your duppatta and later you might not know that by mistake you had wiped your face with that same haldi duppatta while working in the kitchen and that haldi got transferred on your face, technically colouring you in my love and no one in the world has the power to decolour you out of my love………………………………………………………………………. Then in mehandi  you yourself wrote my name ……remember the A in your hand , your mouth had lied but your eyes spoke that ‘A’ was for Arnav only, you had claimed your right over me, and that day you probably for the first time felt that my absence is not liked by your heart ……………………………………………………….. you know that day when you scolded me I felt so happy and I had already given that right to you…………………………………….and then at  sangeet we danced together and what a dance it was, that killer green saree had snapped all my control ,all I wanted to do was undress you and make love to you.…………………………….and then followed our marriage and last night our consummation completed this marriage and all the marriage rituals making you mine in ways that you shall be mine always and I shall be yours forever Mrs. Khushi kumari Gupta Singh Raizada.”

Chapter 15

The morning saw the two lovers, soul mates and man and wife cuddled together in warmth of each other, sleeping peaceful after an exhausting night of love making. Arnav was first one to get slightly disturbed, but the feeling of khushi in his embrace, all naked and tired, gave his territorial pride a boost that he was the only one who shall see this beautiful creature like this and he shall be the one always to pleasure her till she was exhausted. Her surrender was the biggest gift to him. he felt elated that she was his, only his in all senses. She was looking so beautiful in her sleep with her long hair all fanning across his pillow and his chest. Her slightly swollen lips showing that she was thoroughly loved and the small love bites on her marking her as his.He felt at peace and at that moment khushi moved a bit more into his warmth and wrapped her arm around his torso and cuddling more in his embrace. He did not have the heart to disturb her so he too closed his eyes and soon again fell into sleep.

Later after an hour, khushi was woken up by sunrays reaching her eyes. She felt content; there was warmth all around her. Immediately her eyes went to her husband who was holding her flushed to himself and sleeping peacefully, looking cute. Tell me if you are sore or hurting too much?” khushi was touched and said “no you were so caring and you did not hurt me in anyway. Yes I am a bit sore and there are slight pains but not too much, but I guess that natural and it will heal soon.” Arnav was relived and said “a hot bath with medicinal oils will help you.” Khushi was happy and smiled and her eyes carried a hint of mischief and she flipped over arnav and said “you know today I feel so elated, I know you may find it offensive Mr. Raizada, but you know having control over a powerful man like you, the fact that I can bring these pleasures to you, I can satisfy your needs, that you love me, and that only I will satisfy every kind of you needs, even if I scold you, hit you, you shall love me, and I have this intimacy with you that no other women shall ever have , gives a feel like I am so powerful.” Arnav was amused at her words and all that he could say was “yes boss, biwi ho tum meri , haq hai tumhara, mugh pe( you are my wife, its your right over me)” with that he got up and wore his trouser and helped khushi too getting up. Khushi was feeling shy so he teased “I have seen all of it and love it too” and she hit him lightly, then he covered her with his shirt from last night, he had kept for this purpose and carried her to the washroom. While she brushed and did her morning call, he filled the bath tub with hot water and poured some medicinal oil into it, and then picked her up and kept her in the tub and told her “relax, it will sooth you, till then I shall bathe in the shower and get ready.” He then pulled the shower curtain to give her privacy despite of them sharing the bathroom. Khushi was happy with his care and thoughtfulness. She felt relaxed and her sourness almost reduced and pains became almost unnoticeable with the medicinal oils.

He saw that khushi was lost in midst of passion and then with trembling voice said “I wanted to tell you about this, but then di was hurt and she needed you. Later that night when you reminded of the contract, I thought since I was not your wife so I had no right on you neither on your money. I knew if I told you about my illness you will fund my treatment but I thought I had no right to take advantage of you. Otherwise true to your words I would have been a gold digger. And the real thing was, leaving you at end of contract would have itself killed me, so it was no point asking you to pay for my treatment. Also I thought this will be end all my pains and miseries. But now I cannot leave you, I have always waited for you to love me back, now I want to live, sleep each day in your arms and wake up to your kisses, I want this marriage to be real in all senses, I want to be yours in all senses, I want to live a long life with you , feel your love each day and even hear you scold me when I don’t take of myself and I want to take care of you. And also hold your hand and tell all those models who keep ogling as if you are naked, that you are mine and only I have the right to check you out. Please hold me and do not let me go. Save me”

 When she completed Arnav was again kissing her sensually and in between kisses said  “you will live (kiss), I would not let you go(kiss), I will love you always(kiss), you have all the rights on me and everything that belongs to me (kiss), you will get well soon (kiss), we will live a long life fighting together (kiss), you shall bear my kids (kiss), and now you shall listen to me (goes down kissing to her necks) ,you along with me and di shall be leaving for London in 4 or 5 days  for your treatment , I have made all arrangements for your treatment (sucks her neck), and you shall come back all well with us back from London (leaves small love bites on her neck), and you have no say in all this. Tomorrow morning I will tell everyone and handle everything, you don’t need to worry at all (soothes his love bites), and will you allow me make love to you tonight? (looked into her eyes for permission).” Khushi was so lost in his kisses and passion .And for the first time feeling his love and felt that finally she belonged to someone. She started kissing him back with urgency and said in between the kisses “I belong to you, I will get well for you arnavji, I will live, and please love me tonight and makes me yours tonight. Show me how much you love me, show me your love ,passion, heat and intensity.” That was all he needed to know. What followed was union of two souls that was destined to happen.

understanding khushi (chapter 13)

Chapter 13

He proceeded towards her motioning the nurse to move out. Khushi was about to say something , but he stopped her and said “not now” and then he wrapped her duppatta correctly and kissed her on forehead as if stating that he knew everything and she understood.and then he scooped her in his arms and held her securely to his chest and left the hospital. Khushi also secured her one arm around his nape and other held his lapel.

He sat her in the car and drove away. As they sat in the car, Arnav pulled Khushi to himself and held her through the entire journey and as they were heading on, she realized that it was not the way to Lakshmi Nagar, but she did not feel like asking him, tonight after his confession, she had surrendered to his love. She found that peace and serenity inside his arms that no one had ever given her and his warmth had left her asking for more. As Arnav slowed inside the drive way, she realised that he had brought her to shantivan, his territory. He stopped the car and got to the other side and picked her up before she could say anything and closed the car and headed ahead. But Arnav was not heading to the main door but instead headed to the side entrance through the pool ,he brought out his keys and entered within the confines of his territory. He entered his room and carried khushi to the door and asked her to lock the room. Today he needed complete privacy and tonight only his wife he was going to attend. After locking the room he settled khushi on his side of the bed, removed her footwear, khushi stopped him, but today nobody could stop him. He then took out a letter from his pocket and handed it to her and waited her to read it, she read it several times before looking at him.

 The letter was from arnav’s mother and it said “bear his anger and return his love hundred times.”

And when she looked at him her eyes spoke that she had taken complete charge of arnav with his mamma’s blessing. Arnav then slowly came closer to her and held her intimately and voiced out “now that you have promised my mamma too , that you shall always be with me and love me always , so don’t you dare think about leaving me.” With that he came more closer to her and snaked his one arm around her waist and held her very firmly and with another hand he held her nape and kissed her lightly on her lips and then kissed on each and every part of her face. And while he kept kissing her and in between his kisses he had shifted completely on the bed and trapped her between him and  bed post and between his kisses he spoke.” I know I never gave you a reason to trust me , kisses her, I never told you how much I loved you, kisses her , and I know why you did not tell me about all this, kisses her, first because of di and that shyam drama, kisses her more passionately , then later because of my stupid idea of bringing that contract  to stop you from going , kisses her more urgently as if conveying his love , and you believed all that bullshit, kisses her, and you decided to leave me forever, kisses her, you decided to leave me alone forever, kisses her on lips and sucks her lower lip and she responded back, the kiss turned wilder and hungrier, you decided to punish me, kisses her again, you decided to die, to kill me along with you. With his words kill me khushi snapped, she got angrier and she kept her one hand on his nape and other in his hair and pulled his hair painfully pushing him towards herself and caught his upper lip between her teeth and and bit him hard and then laved it with her tongue and then continued to punish his lips brutally with her teeth and sucks”. Arnav knew that she never cared about herself, but when it came to him, she could fight the entire world, he expected her to hit him and slap him, but this sensual punishment was beyond his thinking. She still held him from his nape and she stopped after she thought she had punished him enough and spoke “don’t you understand, laad governer, I have told you before don’t you dare talk about dying ever and I will punish you harder, if you do this next time. Samghe aap.” And Arnav was still held by khushi and was on cloud nine hearing her scolding and loved her wifely ranting and he was holding her close and intimately.

Chapter 12

Arnav said “ yes doctor sure, but before that I want to tell you something, recent times for her have been very stressful for her both in terms of mental state as well as physically too. I had a family turmoil in last few days and my house has gone through a tense time and Khushi being most affected. And a few days back she was manhandled by some goons too , and she fell down a cliff and had almost chocked to death but then I was able to revive her back, I want you to ensure that you check her for injuries and now tell me what you want to say.”

The doctor continued and said “Arnav , her recent reports indicate no injuries thankfully. So you can take a sigh of relief. Though her stress levels are slightly high, but not much. Since now everything is ok at your home, they will come down. And more positive news is that she very lucky that her cancer cysts have not grown in size & number and have not spread further and it is good that the cancer is still dormant and not affecting her other vitals yet thus I think we should not wait any further. There are several things I want you to brief about but before that I want to ask you. what your annual income is?” Arnav was surprised at her question but rather than getting angry at her stupid question he answered “50 crores may be…..but I unable to understand why you ask so?” the doctor was surprised and said “ I just asked because I wanted to know if you could afford her treatment or not because this is one of the costliest treatment in the world and the medicines too are very expensive. But are you sure about your income?”(a long pause) Arnav now got angry and snapped “just to let you know that I am Arnav Singh Raizada, CEO of AR Designs , an international fashion brand and Khushi is my wife.” He glared at the doctor and the doctor calmed and said “sorry, I could not recognise you ASR , the youngest business tycoon. I am sorry. Let’s continue, the cost of the treatment including post and pre procedures shall be around some 3 crores including medicines and since money is not a problem for you I suggest you to take Khushi to London, there is the best liver hospital with best doctors and best treatment facilities, she will be in safer hands and since her case is just in initial stages, her recovery after treatment would be faster. I will provide you with a reference and I will send her detailed report immediately to them, so that they will not have to waste any time and can immediately start her treatment.” Arnav heard her with absolute attention and then said “Do that immediately and when can I fly her to London?” the doctor replied “may be in next 4 or 5 days, don’t worry her health would not fumble, her state is not delicate. I will sent her details immediately and contact you with the details tomorrow morning. And if you want I can brief you about the treatment so that you can mentally prepare Khushi for the treatment.” Arnav nodded her to continue “They shall conduct some tests on her and then arrange for her blood and medicines that will best suite her. Khushi’s body will be stabilised for operation for 2 or 3 days and then she would be operated upon. The small portion of her liver affected with cancer and containing cyst will be removed. Don’t worry the human liver has the ability to grow back. In some cases the whole liver grows back from a small portion of donar liver. And khushi has her own liver intact and hence her recovery shall be faster than the normal cases. And often in general cases it is seen the patient recovers completely in 2 or 3 months and can continue his life again back normally with absolutely no problems.” Arnav though was scared of the operation bit but the fact that she shall recover gave him peace and with courage he asked with a trembling voice “Is there any risk involved doctor?” the doctor smiled and said “we try our best Arnav and rest is god’s grace. The risk in her case is less and the procedure of operation is quite safe. Only the small risk involved is that sometimes the lady patients are not able to conceive after that. But I hope her life is more valuable for you. But it happens very rarely and you should remain positive.” The doctor ended as her phone rang and she received it and Arnav was about to get up when she disconnected and said “Khushi is gaining conscious , you can meet her in few minutes but before that I would like to tell you something”

Arnav did not know when he got up and hugged the doctor and said “thank you so much doctor. Thank you” the doctor was surprised and said “its ok, well it really means a lot ASR thanking me. ASR as far as I have heard you are a focussed and shrewd business and you are known to be possessive and protective too. So just go and protect your love possessively and your love shall win. Bye and take care and keep me updated too.”

Arnav left the cabin and headed towards khushi, he had a mission and he had decided to save her and he shall save her and always love and cherish her. He had to tell both the families about it. Then make arrangements to take khushi to London and he realised that khushi will not agree stating di so another decision was made by him that di and khushi both will be travelling to London with him and having di will keep him also sane from worrying about her and his di was also his support system and that will leave khushi with no excuse. His priorities were changed and fixed both di and khushi were important for his survival and hence he would not leave one for other ever. After this another thought crossed his mind and his guilt rose. Khushi had decided to die lately in last four days only because she could not afford this treatment and since Arnav had snatched away all her rights over him by bringing that contract marriage four days back. since now she considered her to be his contract wife and her matters and expenses were not his and secondly this marriage was to end in 6 months and he was not responsible for her after that, so she had concluded that she had absolutely no right to ask me for her treatment expenses as I was not her husband in true sense and she was not supposed to depend on me. And she did not have money for her treatment, so it was obvious that she had to die that’s why she was hell bent on leaving me, then that entire bank and money arrangement was to secure others when she would have gone. He felt guiltier that he made his love suffer so much. She had decided to give up just because she thought she was not my wife and had no rights on my money. When in reality I had surrendered to her long ago and she had always been my wife and had all rights over me. If I would have told her before what I confessed today about our marriage to be real and that 6 month contract bullshit was always a hoax and never true. She would at first place never left me. And then it clicked him that today after realising his love and that their marriage was real and valid for life she had before fainting, told him that she will confide in him and said that she will tell him something about her too. She must have decided to tell me about this only. He knew it because she had seen hope in her as if she told him that I know you will make everything ok. And he decided ,I will make you ok khushi. We both shall live together a long life. And at this moment a positive thought crossed his mind she had called him in her dizzy state and said “save me”. It gave me an assurance that you trust me now and you are back in my life and you have accepted me khushi. And I promise I will save you because our heartbeats are one.

With new vigour he opened her room door and he saw her sitting and what he saw in her eyes thrilled him. It was a confidence that her Arnavji will not let  anything happen to her. And his eyes in reply told her that now he was in absolute control and he will save her and they have a lifetime together ahead.

He proceeded towards her motioning the nurse to move out and told her that he is taking her home and the hospital bill will be taken care of, and he came and held her hands and sat in front of her.

understanding khushi (chapter 11)

Chapter 11

Every second was difficult for arnav , khushi’s state was choking him, he drove to the hospital in record time. Hospital always brought bad feelings to him but he ignored them and focussed on his khushi.

Khushi was immediately taken for check-up , arnav did not want to leave her side but he allowed doctors to follow her without any distruptions. After 15 long minutes where every second for arnav seemed like hours of being strangled the doctor came out and told arnav that “ your wife seems to be ok, all her vitals, bp, sugar and heartbeats all are fine, but her unconsciousness needs to have some reason and the good news is that she will gain conscious in  sometime but we need to run some test on her to make sure everything is fine with her. “ arnav told her to just make sure that all was well with her. While they were talking the nurse came up to the doctor and said “ doctor ruhi, doctor nisha wants to talk to you about the patient khushi” the doctor asked arnav to come along with her and went to see doctor nisha . before doc nisha could ask the doctor ruhi who was the man with her. Doc ruhi introduced arnav as khushi’s husband. Doctor nisha paused for a few seconds and then said “ arnav I wish to speak to you, but can you just give me 5 minutes.”

 Arnav nodded and doctor nisha instructed doctor ruhi to give some weired medicine name injection to khushi and doctor ruhi went to do the needful. Arnav got curious that how did the doctor nisha know khushi and why the injection when the test results were not out and the other doctor told khushi was fine. He got up agitated when nisha turned towards him and motioned him to sit down. He sat down and doctor nisha continued “ Arnav I know you are confused, I shall clear all your confusions but just keep a little strong. I am  Nisha kumar and I am a liver specialist and I have met your wife before.” Arnav could not keep his control and snapped “ why did she meet you. When did you meet her and is she ok na doctor. Please tell me doctor……” nisha could clearly see the love and concern in his voice and in his eyes too. Nisha continued “ arnav you need to listen to me and not panic and then only I can help you out. So will you keep patience and listen” when arnav nodded the doctor continued “khushi came to see a general phycisian some 20 odd days back complaining of some kind of mild pain on her left side and on running some tests the doctor found some problem in her lever and referred her to me.” Arnav was hearing her but he remembered it was time when he was kidnapped and she was searching for him and she must have ignored her heath in my tension and cursed himself for leaving her when she was not well. His attention snapped back to the doctor and she was saying “ I ran a few tests and detected her with small cancerious cysts in her lower liver” the words cancer panicked his brain and the thought of losing her jolted him, but he again composed himself and decided to listen to the doctor and had already decided that he shall fight for her and would never let her go away and not now after all was clear betwwen them. The doctor was saying “ but the good thing arnav is that her cancer is in initial stages and its good that it has not spread to other parts and if treated properly and khushi keeps a positive approach she will fight it out easily.” The words good thing and she can get well soared his hopes and his determination to save her at any cost soared high and he immediately asked “ then what are you waiting for? What did you tell khushi ? does she know about it” the doctor continued “ I told her all this and she asked if we could wait for a few days and I told her we could wait for another month but I told her not to delay it further because the earlier we treat it the lesser the danger would be. Anyways I told her that she could take some time as cancer will take more than 3 or 4 months to spread but I told her to not to delay and then she told me that you, her husband was abroad and she needed to tell her family first and then you shall take the decision about it. Then she asked me if she will survive it and told me not to lie as she has lots of responsibilities and lot of people are dependent on her and she is bread earner for them and god forbid if she had less time than she needed to safe guard their future  and I could see her fears and I told her after the treatment she would be absolutely fine and her cancer was at curable state. Then I told her about the treatment and the cost of the entire treatment which I shall tell you in detail after this  and then she went away after telling me that she would refer back to me as soon as you come back. but seeing the present state I can guess that you must have returned back recently only and she has not told you anything yet. Don’t worry she has fainted due to stress and may be pain and the injection I have asked ruhi to give her will relive her and she will gain conscious soon and since now you are back you can talk to her and decide about further treatment.” Arnav felt so guilty, he realised that khushi did not tell about him or anyone about it because first saving him was her priority and she was busy in saving him from that cheat shyam and then then when she had rescued him from the kidnappers and headed home, there that whole shyam truth drama happened and di was hurt and ill and disturbed so she again kept herself at back and quite and let di get better and did not tell me so that I could keep all focus on di and then that day when I accussed her of di’s state and reason of all the mess in our lives told her that I regretted  meeting her, so she must have decided to let herself die of this , so that she can leave us all in peace. And to further push her I raised the contract marriage. This would have given her clear indication that she meant nothing to me and it was useless for her to tell me anything because I had wished for her to never come in my life and so she must have decided that dying to this cancer was a good way to end her life as her life held no value and importance to me, her husband.

 He realised that he needed to confront her again when she wakes up and again fill her brain and heart with the fact that she was the sole reason for his existence and even the thought of her going away stopped his breath.

He looked back at the doctor with a new zeal and the  ASR in him came out to protect his khushi and said  “ there is nothing to decide doctor, you begin with her treatment now and I do not want to waste another second. And don’t worry about her , she had left the decision to me so I have decided that she has to get well soon for me and she is not leaving me.” The doctor could see his love and said “ arnav your strength and positivity and love will force her to fight over her cancer and empower her will to live. And that will be positive for her treatment. You should not know that love and compassion of your spouse helps the patient to endure the treatment and get well soon. But now I want to discuss something important with you as khushi’s new report of today has come up ,shall I continue?” arnav said “ yes doctor, but before that I want to tell you something……………………………………………………..”

Chapter 10

He continued “ di is hurt, but not because of you and you have not hurt her , she knows you are also as much as a victim as her and she is the one who has sent me here to bring you back. she has seen shyams true face and herself found all proofs. She is missing you. She told me that it was just because of you and me that shyam could not hurt her. Even back at time of akash marriage she and nani ji were planning to get me married to you by making me jealous with you and NK as couple, limit was when they asked my opinion on your marriage alliance with NK and all I wanted to do was , tell them that you belong to me and you are just mine just mine. And my whole family was never embarrassed of you. You should know that my mami itself is so embarrassing , but we still do never feel insulted because she loves me and di more than even akash. Khushi you are kind and cultured, you blend tradition and modernity together in a beautiful manner that no one can. You symbolise that its not clothes that just make you, its you’re thinking that reflects in your clothes. And you even in your simple clothes look more beautiful than any of my model in world best dress. You even in your simple saree look beautiful. all those who say you are traditional just say it because they are jealous of you, they can never look like you even with loads of makeup and world best cosmetics. You should know I knew long ago that you were perfect, just tailor made for me and my family, but after today I know you are not only perfect for me and my family but also as Mrs ASR for the world because you love me and care for me selflessly. You know all those models and girls who want me, they care for me because they want money,status and power. But you care damn about all these materialistic things, so never think of yourself like this ever. You are a diamond that shines naturally and every artificial stone tries to out shine you, but you are invalueable. And I want to tell, each and every idiot who never realised your value to know that they should realise that you have that power and charm in you that the ASR fell in love with you. Khushi, I and my family want  to marry me so that I get love which only you can give me and not for status or false prestige. You are infact a class apart and your status can never be reached by anyone. So do not go into that direction. By the way you are far more intelligent than any of those high status girls” khushi was so happy and engrossed in hearing all this that she asked “ why so?” aranv chuckled and said “ because you fooled me. I the Harvard brain could not catch you , the double graduate in economics and maths plus an MBA from IIM lucknow. You fooled all of us. Do not be surprised  I know everything about you now. So technically you are more than educated with a class and status. So your question itself was null and void” khushi was astonished at piece of info that arnav gave her but today she wanted him to speak and her  new questions could wait for him to end first.

And he again continued “ about your last question MY, DI’s AND MY ALL FAMILY’s HAPPINESS IS FROM ONE SOURCE THAT IS YOU. Khushi where ever you will go, you will spread happiness and you going into someone’s already happy life would be like one more feather into his happiness and for us i.e. me and di it will be unfair because you are the only source of happiness in our life. So you cannot leave us alone in sadness. You cannot show us trailers of a happy life and then go away.” Khushi was now in tears even arnav was overwhelmed and he could not control himself and cupped her face and kissed her slowly , kissing away her every tear and his continued kissing her and khushi surrendered, she knew after today she was no more in control with the fact of ever leaving him. She had decided to tell him everything and challenged her devi maiya and said in her mind that this time may be you shall have to lose devi maiya to my arnavji.

Unkown to her it was her devi maiya’s devine intention to bind her and arnav together .

Arnav stopped kissing her only because there was some more of what she should know and he said “ khushi I married you not because I wanted to save di and keep shyam in control ,I married you because I wanted to make you mine, to brand you as mine forever and ever,no other reason was ever true. if I wanted to only save di and stop shyam ,there were 1000 other better and effective ways I could have done that, marrying you was the least feasible one. I married you because my heart told me you would never cheat me and there is something wrong and I will wait for it to come out but I must make you mine now. And true to my heart it was all true. Secondly this marriage was never a contract for me , I just told you 6 month thing so that you agree to the marriage and get hurt too. I never drafted any contract, the papers you signed were just marriage registration papers which legalised our marriage. And the once I sent to payal were 10% shares of AR designs which I did on her name and the blackmail that you fell for that akash would leave payal was always hoax, I would have never done that and even if I asked also akash would never do that. So basically you my smart IIM brain are so emotional for your loved ones that you stop using your so sharp brain and fall for my hoax black mail.” Khushi was so realived to hear all this that she started hitting him on his chest and said “ I hated you for being so difficult to understand and so idiotic and I hated myself for marrying you without telling you that I will marry you only if you marry for all life, but now I realise that you had already made it a life long commitment and were sure about it and you just fake your arrogant self all around when you just know one thing love and love and only love . you emotionally challenged laad governer.”

Arnav continued and said “ I know till now you never trusted me but now I want to tell you that I know why you loved me and my di because you identified yourself , poorvi and poorav with us. I want you to confide within me about them and from now own just like you shoulder di with me I shall be you better half in taking care of your twins always. I promise.  Also I am so proud of you and can proudly say that no one other than you can live so selflessly for those who you love and I love you for that.”  Khushi was never expecting arnav to know all this , but was so relived to find that now he was there and he would take care of poorav and poorvi always ,so she decided to tell him everything .

Khushi was telling him “ arnavji I love you too, so much. I will tell you everything about poorav and poorvi, since I know that you and I will always be together. I did not tell you because I never got perfect circumstances, there was one after another so  many problems always present. But now I will tell you everything about them and one more thing about me too.”

Arnav was happy to see her opening up and it thrilled him, there was so much more to say but it was now her turn to speak so he flipped her such that she was on top and arnav was below her. Khushi shied a bit at her position but the smiled and was about to say something when she felt dizzy and said “ I am blacking out arnav ji, I feel dizzy, save me…………………..” and she went unconscious. Arnav panicked and tried waking her up with sprinkling water then he remembered her “save me” and he knew something was wrong and he held her close and decided that since it was night time, it was not ok to wake up baujii and engage in useless questions about his presence and everything, khushi needed medical help. So he took her in her arms and headed out of the main door carefully closing it behind him so that the night passed without any further questions and khushi too will get conscious  and hopefully in the morning he shall handle buajii and everything else too.

understanding khushi (chapter 9)

Chapter 9

When khushi saw the caller id on her phone  “arnavji calling”  some kind of warmth spread through her body. She contemplated whether to receive the call or not. After the fourth ring she picked it up thinking he is calling so late must be something important and prayed that Anjali di was ok and without a hi or hello asked  “ you are awake till so late. Is everything ok? Is di fine?” he was touched by her concern and replied “everything and everyone is fine khushi. By the way why are you awake till so late? By the way you look beautiful in white colour and with open hair” khushi without thinking spontaneously replied “so you have called me so late at night to tell me this” by the time she said it she realised that she was in white night dress and her hair were open. She continued “ How do you know that I am in white and my hair are open?” while khushi was busy in the call facing her back to the window arnav had climbed through the window and had almost reached her and he answered her last question in her ear “ I keep track of your every movement and breath khushi” khushi was shocked on hearing his voice on her other ear and turned around in haste and was almost going to fall when arnav caught hold of her and steadied her. Khushi asked “what are you doing here and that too at this time of night. And you came in by the window. Di will get hurt if she came to know that you secretly came to meet me, why not you understand anything. Di needs you and you are her only support system and it will be better if you do not make her any more insecure and attend to her only and you do not need to do any kind of formality for me. Its just matter of 7 more days and after that you shall be free of this contract marriage thing. Anyways its better that I too get habitual to living away from you (tear form in her eyes and her voice trembles) from jiji and shantivan. Its just 7 days and then everything would be fine.” 

Hearing this arnav could not control any more and he knew where khushi wanted  to take this too but she did not know that he was ASR just because he loved her chattering and allowed her to fill his ears does not mean he has lost his ability to speak and stop her chatter. He was thinking that once he wins over khushi the only way he will ever use to stop her chatter will be by sealing her lips into a kiss. But today he would have to do with the other method and he just held her firmly from her shoulders and said  “ 7 days it is. Khushi will you let this marriage get over so easily. Is it that easy for you.“  khushi snapped and said “ I am telling you what the fact is, the purpose and duration of the contract is going to end. It was just a deal and never a marriage. So lets just get over it and not make it more difficult by bringing in emotions and guilt. Lets be practical” arnav got little angry at the answer he received and he held her more firmly and said “Ok lets be practical, lets not tell anymore lies to anyone and lets go outside and tell everything to your family and then we will even get witnesses for our divorce i.e your amma and babujii. You  want no emotions so come lets tell everyone that I married you for contract and blackmailed you and you want to end this marriage now.” Khushi’s eyes teared up and looked at him in shock and arnav almost melted but then he hardened again and said “come, I am waiting “ he knew this will shut her up and she would at least stop fighting him and then he will confess his love to her.

And exactly the same happened khushi staggered and held on her study chair for bit of support and thought please devi maiya do not make this more difficult for me I can bear my pain but the pain and suffering he will face with me being in his life would kill me and weakly walked towards him and voiced slowly  “ why are you doing this and what will you get . It will hurt di , you deserve a better life partner,your family deserves a better daughter in law ,who has class and status and who can fit in your world as Mrs. ASR and you and your family do not need to get embarresed and more importantly  you and di deserve  happiness and no more losses and I will only bring sadness in your life.” She wanted to say more but could not, all her energy was draining and she held him weakly. Arnav knew she had lost all resistance to fight and now he will conquer her her heart and soul in such a way that no lover had ever done before ever. He held her firmly but she was sagging so he pulled her flush against his body so they both were joined toe to neck and wound his hand on her poccessively. At that moment khushi mind rang with a thought that if I die also after today I would never complaint because all I wanted was to be someday be held this way in arms of the man I love and my wish has come true.

Arnav held her like that and gently lowered her to the bed and came on top of her , he pinned her down below him but was gentle and made sure she was not getting hurt but she felt all of him and he was all ready to answer each of her question.

He began “ Khushi today I will answer each of your question and trust me when I shall complete …………………..” he could not find words he started again “I shall make you Mrs arnav singh raizada forever and ever” this line did what so many words could not do they touched her soul and she felt elated.

He continued “ khushi when I saw you first time in lucknow I fell in love with you at that moment. I knew you were mine from that moment. The second you fell In my arms I knew your were the part of me which I was I never knew i did not have but always craved and waited for. That second you completed me. your eyes from that second have not left me alone for even a single moment. Main darr gaya tha .i was scared and afraid , I always worked with my brain and kept my heart in control but tumhe dekhne ke baad mera dil mere khud ki baat nahi manta. I was so scared of my heart loosing control that I started hurting you to make you go away and did that media drama. But for once in life I am thankful to shyam that he saved you from goons otherwise I would have killed myself( khushi put a hand on his mouth but he continued) and that brought you to delhi  to my office and  to my life….. I again hurt you to sent you away even that lavanya setup was just to make you go away because the more I saw you the more my heart became uncontrolled and told me that you are a part of me and I need to surrender before you. Diwali night and those half completed kyon farak padhta hai were just the trailers and deciding to marry lavanya was just to make you go away somehow…………………….he paused , (khushi looked at him to continue and he continued)…………………….but the more I hurt you the more uncontrolled I became towards you and the more I fell deeply in love with you and your engagement was the fuel to my already burning heart. The thought of you belonging to somebody was out of question because your were mine alwaya and that’s why I broke that my relation with lavanya and the fact that even your engagement was broken was like medicine on my burning wounds. So I have always loved you. So that answers your first question.” Khushi was still pinned under him and now his weight felt so natural and infact very soothing.

“ and to answer what I want  is : I know you have loved me, still love me and will continue to love me and I know you will never marry again ever and shall always remain mine. you saving my life endangering yours and your not wanting  to expose me and defending me in front of shyam itself clearly shows you love me more than anything. So please whatever bullshit that you hate me and want to go away will not affect me. You are mrs.ASR and its never going to change, so you basically very well know I want you as my wife my lover my soulmate and as my mothers daughter in law. And I know what your heart desires so we have a whole lifetime if you want to fight out on this with me”.Khushi laughed in her mind at the irony of the time.

understanding khushi (chapter 8)

Chapter 8

Arnav headed back home. The house was pleasantly happy and he left for his room, in his room all he could smell was Khushi. She had completely filled his senses in such a manner that her existence for him had become like most essential for him. All he waited for today night when he had decided to confess all he felt for her. He had decided that he will confess everything and will not hesitate today , Khushi needed to know her importance.

After refreshing , he went downstairs for his dinner with the entire family especially his di and he was more than thankful that everyone was concentrated on the evergreen topic of NK’s marriage and he was spared unlike breakfast where he was the topic. NK also told everyone that he has got a job in big fashion magazine as a top notch photographer and who are willing to pay him handsomely and he is soon going to get more rich. But then like a small kid he complained “now I will have to work regularly unlike till now when I used to work on random projects only when I felt like” to which arnav added “ true. But I wonder NK that which idiot chose to keep you on such high profile position in his magazine, poor guy. Had he checked your talent?”. NK was fast to reply “ You do not know my talent nanav…… I am in huge demand , but how will you know, you should see payal bhabhi and akash’s marriage photos than you will realise my worth. By the way I charge in lakhs for personalised marriage photography  and you still have not paid me for your brother’s wedding photography nanav”. Arnav said “ by the way congratulations. Good for you , but bad for us that it will fix you permanently here to eat our heads with your horrible hindi . anyways…” At arnav’s this comment akash too agreed and said “ god save us bhai from ma’s syndey wala kangroo” to which all laughed.   

After dinner he went to find his di sitting in the garden , all relaxed and smiling. She had held something in her hand ,it seemed like some papers, but he did not panic. He came and sat next to her, when she looked at him and said “I am sorry chote, do not interrupt me because I want to tell you something and once I am done I know you will handle everything. Chote you were right Shyamji was a fraud, he was cheating me, I had this feeling from long but always denied it. I did the same when I went for abortion that day, you know I did not go there because of khushi, I went there because I found a proof that shyam was a cheat, and because of him you and khushi had to endure so much pain. Do not worry, I am over with him because I hate him and I have my child as my strength. I will talk to Khushi too but right now you should know this. And I will get better when I will see you and khushi together as I know you are meant for each other and just like because of you two me and my child was saved from shyam , I want your and khushi’s relationship should remain unaffected and I know you both loved each other even before shyam thing happened.” Arnav could see that his di knew something and he asked “ are you hurt di , what did you find, I failed to save you from this hurt. Forgive me di….” Anjali held his hands into hers and handed him the papers and waited for him to see what the papers were and the only thing that came out of his mouth were “ where did you find them di?” Anjali without a delay replied “ that cheat shyam had pasted them under the baby cot. He got this will papers made and signed by you so that he could kill you and take over the property and then perhaps kill me too.” Immediately arnav snapped “no di… don’t you dare talk about death. I know what he did and wanted to do ……. But lets not talk about dying cause he could not do anything and secondly if khushi came to know that I was talking about dying or so she is going to get really angry”   Anjali was amused and blurted out “ I think it was you who had copy right to get angry , I never knew that khushi too scolds you and you the great ASR listen to her scoldings. I am loving this. On a serious note there is more the live wire pool accident, the car accident of mine and the scorpion on payal akash sangeet were all shyam’s plans to end me and I have proofs which I have given to police and they shall verify and then we can file charges on him.” Arnav was shocked to hear this and his eyes teared and he hugged his di tightly. After a long time he left her and wanted to say something but could not, but his di understood and said “I know you chote , do not worry I am fine and I would not ever leave you like maa. I love you chote.” Arnav was happy that his di was stronger than his maa and took this all bravely. They sat there silently holding each other for long when arnav broke the silence “ di, khushi is I guess very angry with me. Day before yesterday I scolded her too much for talking to you and in my anger even accused her for spoiling everyone’s life and she has accepted all the accusations silently and believes herself to be the culprit. I do not wish to delay it further and I want to seek her forgiveness and tell her that I meant nothing when I said all that bullshit.” Anjali heard all this silently and said “ then why are you sitting and wasting your time . you are ASR and you go to any lengths for those who you love and are yours. You need to understand just like all of us in our family  know you as arnav and for the rest of the world  you are ASR, khushi is your wife and she should know arnav. And she has till now seen and handled only ASR, so go and show her my arnav. She is so selfless and her nature is such that your small love and care ,she shall return 1000 times. So its time my idiot chote go and confess, open your heart to her and do give her the ma’s letter which you have not given her. And please do not waste any more time and one more thing may be she will not be ready to listen to you, so become the assertive ASR, hold her firmly and then bring back the arnav in you and tell her everything. Ok and for god’s sake say everything and do not keep any more feelings inside you. Just let her see and feel your love because she completes you and  You are ASR , let the world see that you know how to win over in all spheres of life whether its your wife’s love or a deal. Go and bring our khushi back .

This was all the support arnav needed. Today he knew his di was with him and shall always be and soon his love khushi shall also be with him. Anjali was waiting for him to say something and then he said “  today I am going to win her back di and do not worry about anything else because when it comes to khushi, mera apna dil meri koi baat nahi manta and today I will tell her everything. Wo apne aap ko bohat smart samajhti hai na then today I will wash her brain with my heart.” Anjali was amused to listen to all this and said “ I wish I could see you telling I love you to khushi” Anjali wanted to say something but she stopped and pulled arnav’s hand towards her belly and laid his palm flat on it and then both of them felt the small kicks and all arnav could utter was “di………the little one………………..”and  Anjali completed it for him  “ the little one is too eager for its arnav mama to tell his khushi mami that he loves her and bring her back soon. You know chote this little one kicked for the first time day before yesterday when I was telling it that your khushi mami loves you too much . I guess the little one already adores khushi. Please bring her back as soon asap.” Arnav was happy and amused and  while keeping a palm on di’s belly he spoke to the little one “ I will bring back your mami, tomorrow morning , I promise , but till then just hope that your khushi mami doesnot trouble your mama too much and you also just like her do not trouble your mom and sleep well as your mami would eat your ears as soon as she comes back and would not let you sleep” as if agreeing the baby kicked several time and both arnav and Anjali were thrilled.

It was 10.30pm and Arnav tucked in di and was leaving for Lakshmi nagar when he said to Anjali “ di, please do not tell anyone about my going there because otherwise I would not get privacy with khushi which I need to confess to her. So it’s a secret between the three of us that I am meeting my own wife secretly. And one more thing di I think the baby is going to be talkative like khushi and naughty like you. Good night and sleep well” Anjali laughed and nodded .

On reaching Lakshmi nagar , he went to khushi’s window which was open and he rang khushi’s mobile and waited for her to pick.

my dear readers

I am sorry for this 6 day break because I have my masters external exams coming up. I shall provide with the next update on 11th december wednesday.

Till then I will wait for your valueable comments. please tell me if you want me to continue with the story or I will end the story in 2 or 3 chapters. Give me response if I should continue further.

hello readers....

i know you are waiting for an update. but the next update shall be on Wednesday ie  11th december 2013. sorry for delay but my masters exams are up and I am busy.
I will try to update before that if possible but cannot promise.
keep commenting . i will only continue with the story if I get feedback otherwise I will end it in a chapter or so. your comments will decide the future of it.

understanding khushi (chapter 7)

Chapter 7

Arnav sat in the study and a chain of moments he had spend with khushi crossed his mind. He realised that even a single day without her would be difficult. So to divert his mind and aching heart he decided to head to his office.

Khushi was thankful that buajii had called her, and she had decided to use this opportunity because though she had made her decision to leave arnav at end of contract marriage but she loves him and she knew it will break her completely to leave him also his confession and vunerablility made it even more difficult but to save him from more pain she had to leave him.Khushi knew arnav would never allow her to leave him and after what he had confessed to her yesterday, she knew that everything bad or hurtful he ever said or did was never from his heart and it had hurt him more than her. She thanked devi maiya for the chance. When khushi was leaving Shantivan she knew she was leaving her soul behind and what was left was just a lifeless body.She could not control her tears on crossing the threshold and her feelings escaped from her mouth “may be this would be last time that I shall ever see this house,My home “. Little did she knew that her devi maiya had different plans for her.

By the time she reached lakshmi nagar ,she was a total mess and was thankful that soon buajii left for the temple after greeting her. She went inside her room and cried till she had no more strength left. She after some time wiped her tears ,gathered herself and said “Khushi you cannot break like this, and you have so many responsibilities, so many lives depend on you, your absence should not affect them, you have to make arrangement. She washed her face and on return of her buajii discussed with her about the help she required. Buajii was facing some problem with her pension , so she asked khushi for help. Khushi told her not to worry as she will look after it. She collected her diary(the same which arnav read) , two big gift parcels and some more documents and headed out with her motive.

Khushi had just 7 more days left in the contract marriage, she wished time to stop, but she realised it never stopped, and not only that she had otherwise too very less time. She went straight to the nearest Allahabad bank branch and requested to break and Fixed deposit in name of her which had matured some three months back. This fixed deposit was made by khushi’s real parents for her marriage, but know khushi had convinced herself that though she had a contract marriage, but for her it was a life long commitment. Even if arnav would have left her at end of six months, she would never marry again because she was married to him and shall always remain his, whether he wanted her or not. She was faithful. So this money could never be used for her marriage so it was better to use this money  for her family and know she needed to do that desperately. Once the fixed deposit was broken she got an amount of 12 lakhs. Immediately she transferred an amount of Rs.5 lakh and 70 thousand into arnav’s personnel account not because she wanted to prove a point but because it was the right thing to do and she was never the one to take undue advantage of those who loved her. Then she transferred another 1 lakh 30 thousand into KKGSR dabba service account. The rest of 5 lakhs she deposited 4 lakhs into buaji’s account and the remaining 1 lakh she kept safetly into her bag.Then from her personnel account she withdrew another 10 thousand rupees and left the bank. She headed to her next destination the notary( legal office) where on a 5000 ruppees stamp paper she transferred her registered KKGSR dabba service company on her jeeji’s name. Satisfied with her work. Her next destination was an international courier company where she handed over the to gift parcels she had bought for her siblings poorvi and poorav for their graduation night. She had brought a wonderful expensive designer saree from an exclusive AR boutique for poorvi and Armani suit for poorav. She had sold one of her jewellery set to buy this for them, because she knew they loved and valued anything that she gave them, may be this time it was a big day for them, so they needed to look good and lastly this could her last gift to them. So it had to be special. After paying the charges for courier when she was heading home in the rikshaw, she remembered how both her siblings had been asking her to come along with arnav and attend their graduation night because it was her who had made them what they were today, she refused them because that was just 5 days after end of her six months contract, but they were not listening to her, but after explaining them a bit that it would be difficult they agreed but were disappointed. So she thought may be this surprise dresses from her side would cheer them and she hoped that they would find it suitable to wear on their graduation night and not feel embarrassed.  But she forgot that she was the one who had raised them and instilled values in them and they both were so proud of their jiji and were never embarrassed of her. She was their mother their source or root and they were not the one’s who were ashamed of their traditional roots.

Then she went to pensition office and her problem was solved in an hour with some documentation and clarification from her side. And the pension was resumed back.

Its was late after lunch time when she returned and buajii gave her lunch. She then asked buajii if she could stay here for a few days and told her how shyam was exposed and anajali ji was bit upset. Buajii was worried for her but she assured her that no one was angry with her and everything is fine and Anjali di just needed some time to get normal with her. Later she handed buajii the one lakh rupees she had brought and told her that some of her Fixed deposit had matured and since she is now well off she doesnot require this. Buajii was still not taking the money when khushi told her “ its ok buajii, its just that babuji does not keep well, there is no source of income except her pension, so it is handy to keep some cash .it comes handy in times of need and unexpected circumstances. I don’t want you and amma to get troubled for money. Its always better to have some in access .” buajii knew she was right. Then she also told her about the small amount she deposited in her account staying the same reason. Buajii could not control herself and cried a little.

Later at 7 in the evening when Arnav was heading for home aman came to inform aranv about some deal payments and then casually told him about some 5 lakh and 70 thousand which were transferred to arnav’s personnel account today afternoon .The amount was quickly identified by Arnav and he got angry , his temper rose but then he realised it had always been his mistake, so he had to deal with khushi with love and win over her love and trust back with love and passion, but there was some serious talk with her pending for tonight and it would not wait because khushi was at Lakshmi nagar, he had decided he had already wasted an year fighting with her when all his heart from the first meeting at sheesh mahel desired was to surrender in her love and make her his forever and he did not want to waste another second . he instructed aman to get the entire details of the transaction along with details and status of person, but the information should be confidential and sent to him only, even aman was not supposed to see it.

Arnav sat in his chair thinking that this whole drama of contract marriage for six month needed a closure today itself and knowing his khushi, he knew she would always want it to remain it between the two of them, and he was ok with everything that pleased her. He knew like khushi that the truth will hurt everyone and more than that khushi disliked arnav being exposed . She had refuted shyam on the day of confrontations when shyam told that arnav married khushi out of blackmail. She in front of entire family had declared that her and arnav’s was a mutual marriage out of love and no one could separate her from arnav. Her voice contained confidence and was clear and loud. It was a clear message to both shyam and him that the matter was strictly between her and arnav and nobody is required to know about it. And he had decided to keep it between them that day only because she did not know , but he knew that the whole six month contract was just a lie he had told her to hurt her and in reality no such contract had been made by him. There was more confessions that needed to be made to his wife at they would be made today. Today khushi will be exposed to his love , she had seen his hatred but she had forgotten that love is the parent of hatred and it was much greater. Today his confessions for which she had always waited will overwhelm her.

In thirty minutes aman was back with sealed envelop containing  the details. Aranv left the office sat in his car, opened the envelop and read all the details. It held every single detail about khushi’s todays transactions at the bank.

At the same time at Lakshmi nagar ,Payal came to see buajii and was happy that khushi could get her pension through. That when khushi gave payal the papers of KKGSR dabba service transferred on her name before payal could refuse khushi told her  “ jiji I always wanted to gift you something on your wedding, but at that time I was short of finances, so I decided to give you this on your six months wedding anniversary . its just that you have always been a homemaker and I wish you never have to see some financial crises, but its essential that you become financially independent and this company will give you that security just like it gave me. So please don’t refuse it because I have given you no choice you have to accept it. “ Payal was touched by her concern and hugged and thanked her for such a thoughtful gift. When khushi left to make tea Buajii to could not stop herself and said to payal   “ I don’t know when but this khushi became so big, we never realised that she burdened herself so much with responsibilities that she grew older than her age. She matured so early when it was time for her to be childish and dream for herself”. All this was heard and seen by Arnav, though others coul not but he understood all her intentions well and he silently promised buajii “ don’t worry buajii, I will take away all her burdens and responsibilities and she would again re live her child hood in my house and will agin dream within confines of my arms and I will try to full fill each of her dream”. Arnav came to talk to khushi but seeing all this he thought its better to leave now and go abck to shantivan, have dinner with di and then he can secretly tell di and come and meet and woo his wife. It sounded perfect as both di and khushi needed him, he hoped from tomorrow both di and khushi would be together.

Unkown to him there lay a long and painful night ahead ,which shall test his love and priorities towards di and khushi.

Chapter 6

Again di was present at the table and khushi was missing, He was about to go and find her and tell her that di was never angry with her and never blamed her. And infact di wanted her, but nani called him aside and told him that buaji called and asked if khushi or payal could go to her home for some days as she needed some help. She preferred if khushi bitya came because she was more capable with the kind of help she required, so I asked payal and khushi , payal was refused by khushi, and khushi said it was better for anajali too that she went , So with my permission she went. Arnav was telling  nani  that di was ok with khushi and they were wrong in keeping khushi away from di ,when payal too came and arnav told her that everything was fine, and don’t worry. The conversation ended and they headed to the full dining table.  

But arnav felt empty as if his soul had left him, it was true his soul had left him, but he knew it was just temporary and he will make sure its duration is shortened. At the table Anjali saw Arnav’s face and then looked around and knew his khushi was missing, and everyone except nani and payal were shocked when Anjali enquired about khushi, nani told her that khushi was required by buaji.

Arnav was surprised when his di smirked at him, he knew ,her smile told him that she was about to pull his leg, but seeing her smile he was ready for her teasing program. Anjali then very casually looked up and said “ khushiji is so enduring that wherever she goes everybody gets so much dependent on her. Even her buaji can not manage without her “ arnav knew what was coming next “ And from the time she has come into our lives , we have also become so dependent on her, see at our silent breakfast table which depends on her some chattering and life and look HP  tea is all blant in comparison to her masala dar chai to which even mamiji is addicted.” Nani agreed “ nani look at chote even he is looking like a lost puppy , missing her already chote “ she teased and arnav knew this was coming . he spoke  grudgingly “ puppy …di”  to which his di nodded innocently. Arnav was releaved  that di was ok and she  was  over with her teasing session but what she said next was even more .

“chote , I was thinking about what you said yesterday that you will find it hard to deal with my and khushi’s mad company together. But I was wondering what will you do if my little one too, adds up in my and khushiji’s mad gang”  aranv chocked on his coffee and mamiji came to stroke his back. He looked with amusement towards his di to which his di replied “ actually chote, its known that the child resembles the person who spends maximum time wih the expecting mother, and khushi tends to spend a lot of time with me . And on her arrival I tend too continue that , so it can be …..” arnav cut his di in between and said “…….di , I think I should go, even the idea of it scares me and you better start spending sometime with me , so that the little one learns to keep quite , otherwise if it inherits khushi’s chattering , then god save our ears.” Anjali and payal laughed but others could not believe that arnav could be so humours and   so vocal . He had accepted that he the great ASR had to listen to his wife. But his di was not in a mood to leave him and said “The great ASR, who does not listen to anyone ,loves his wife chattering”. Arnav knew it was waste to say anything , he di was not going to stop , his confession last night had made her too excited. He got up and said “ di, even nobody dares to do leg pulling of ASR like you are doing, So I better leave” he was leaving to the study happy and content when he stopped and said “ but di, anyways if pulling my leg makes you happy ,I love it and you can continue with that provided you catch hold of me.” NK was about to tease him when arnav glared at him and said “ you are not di……, so don’t you dare” he left and everyone laughed at NK.
